Mr. Bloomquist is currently an Assistant Director Structures Design for BNSF Railway Company where he leads a design team responsible for the production of plans for the replacement, repair and maintenance of structures across the BNSF system. He has over 12 years of experience in the railroad bridge engineering industry, including 8 years with BNSF.

Mr. Bloomquist is an active member of AREMA Committee 15 – Steel Structures. He holds a BSCE and an MCE in Civil Engineering from the University of Kansas and is a registered Professional Engineer in several states and British Columbia.
