Dr. Edwin “Chip” Kraft is Director of Operations Planing at TEMS and has more than 40 years of experience in the railroad industry. He has worked on both freight and passenger planning projects in positions at Conrail, CSX, Union Pacific and Amtrak. Dr. Kraft has a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering and holds two U.S. patents for improved rail yard designs. He is a member of AREMA Committee 14 and is the Committee Research Coordinator for TRB Railway Operating Technologies committee AR030.
