Evan started his career in the U.S. Air Force as an Engineering Assistant becoming proficient in the fundamentals of surveying and drafting. He followed this experience up with dual degrees in Civil Engineering and Surveying from Southern Polytechnic State University just outside of Atlanta, GA. A co-op opportunity at Norfolk Southern turned into employment after graduation working in track design and engineering real estate. In 2017 Evan moved to Amtrak and returned to track design. He’s held the current position for 4-years and manages a growing team tasked with finding, prioritizing, and remediating ground hazards for the safe and on-time performance of Amtrak’s trains.
