Ian is the lead UAS technical contact within the company and focuses on building and integrating UAV flight systems, data management, and client deliverables. Prior to ARE, Ian was co-founder and CTO of AirShark, and a Product Development lead at PocketWizard / LPA Design, designing wireless camera control systems for the professional photography market. Ian holds an Amateur Radio license, is a level 1 trained thermographer, and has deep knowledge of camera systems, embedded electronics, radio frequency (RF) theory, GIS mapping & management, and the practical application of these technologies as an integrated business system. Ian also has over a decade of experience managing digital image workflows in high volume environments.
