John D. Goldman

Louisville & Indiana Railroad


John Goldman was born and raised in New Albany, IN before attending Indiana University Bloomington.  Shortly after graduating from Indiana University, John began his railroad career with Norfolk Southern in Louisville, KY as a Conductor.  During his nine year tenure with NS John accepted positions of greater responsibilities to include Assistant Trainmaster, Terminal Trainmaster, and Trainmaster.

In 2004, John left Norfolk Southern to become a Trainmaster with Canadian National in Battle Creek, MI.  In his eight years at CN John once again accepted positions of greater responsibility to include Assistant Superintendent, Senior Manager of the Regional Operations Center, Assistant to the Senior Vice President, and Division Superintendent.

In November 2012, John became part of the Anacostia Rail Holdings family as Vice President of the Louisville and Indiana Railroad headquartered in Jeffersonville, IN and currently serves as its President.
