Scott Tollefson has over 30 years diversified experience in both ac and dc railroad electrification, including light and heavy commuter rail and dc subways. His work has included projects for Amtrak, SEPTA, NJTransit, DRPA/Patco, PATH, Metro North, LIRR, NYCTA, WMATA, Hiawatha (Minneapolis), Valley Metro (Phoenix) and OKC Maps3 (Oklahoma City). The projects have varied from small upgrades through major reconstruction to new construction and startups. He has performed design and system simulation on major projects requiring extensive coordination between clients and owner agencies, and has experience simulating traction power supply and distribution for dc transit systems. Scott is currently a Senior Traction Power Engineer for PGH Wong Engineering, Inc., Phoenix, AZ, and formerly an active Member of AREMA Committees 33 and 17 High Speed Rail, and of the IEEE VTS Traction Power Subcommittee.
