Currently the Product Manager, Industrial Business for LSI/Arch Wood Protection where he has worked for the last 24 years. Prior to LSI/Arch Tim spent 19 plus years with Timber Products Inspection. In his career in wood protection Tim has served the industry through involvement. He is the past General Chairman of the Treatment Committees and Advisor to the Executive Committee of the American Wood Protection Association (AWPA).  In 2014, achieved AWPA Life Membership status having been an active member since 1978. He also serves on American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of- Way Association (AREMA) Technical Committee 30, subcommittee 2 – Wood Ties; the Railway Tie Association (RTA) R&D Committee as Vice Chairman and is a member of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) ASC Committee 05 on Wood Poles and Cross Arms. He is also involved with Western Wood Preserver’s Institute (WWPI), Southern Pressure Treater’s Association (SPTA). He currently serves as the secretary of the international utility organization CIGRÉ Work Group on Wood Poles. In his career, Tim has inspected wood products at point of production as well as the field inspection, remedial treatment and restoration of wood products including poles, piles, lumber, bridges, trestle structures and log homes. He has written standards, specifications and papers, as well as provided presentations on all aspects of wood protection including serving as an approved instructor on the proper use of wood protection chemicals, for wood treatment certified applicators maintaining their state certifications.

Even in fun, Tim is all about proper use of wood products serving as a KCBS certified BBQ judge.
